Stream-specific
Secondary Math classes grouped by stream, each covering the exact syllabus and exam format for that level.
G1, G2, and G3 students are in separate classes, each covering the content and exam format for that stream
O-Level, N-Level, and SEC exam preparation built in from S3, matched to the stream your child is sitting
E-Math and A-Math taught in separate classes from S3 onwards
S1 to S5 coverage so your child can stay with DeepThink for their entire secondary journey without switching centres
Secondary Math is not one-size-fits-all. A G1 student preparing for the SEC exam needs completely different content from a G3 student heading for A-Math. We keep streams in separate classes so every session is relevant.
Stream-specific
Yes. G1, G2, and G3 students each have their own class, so every lesson matches the exact syllabus and exam format your child is sitting.
S3 is where most students hit a wall — the syllabus gets significantly harder, A-Math is new, and SEC exam (or O-Level for the current Sec 4 cohort) prep begins. Students who build strong foundations in S1–S2 handle that jump far better. Starting early is the highest-leverage move a parent can make.
S1 is ideal — algebra gaps from the start of secondary compound quickly and are harder to fix later. That said, students who join in S3 or S4 can still benefit significantly from targeted exam preparation.
Stream-specific classes. Every lesson, worked example, and past-year paper is matched to your child's stream.
Bedok Green Secondary School is a government co-educational institution that opened its doors in 2001. Situated in the Bedok neighbourhood, the school operates under the motto "Aspire, Act, Achieve" and takes a holistic approach to education that balances academic development with personal growth. The school's teaching philosophy centres on helping students realise their capabilities through hands-on learning and forward-looking pedagogy.
Two signature programmes define much of the school's identity. The Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in STEM explores the Future of Transportation through Design and Aeronautical Engineering, giving students exposure to practical engineering concepts. The Learning for Life Programme (LLP), known as the PAssion Programme, develops students through Music and Performing Arts, building confidence and creativity alongside academic work.
Entry to Bedok Green Secondary School follows the standard MOE Secondary 1 Posting Exercise based on PSLE Achievement Level (AL) scores. The indicative cut-off points for 2025 are as follows:
Posting Group 3: AL 14–20
Posting Group 2: AL 21–25
Posting Group 1: AL 25–27
Bedok Green is a non-affiliated school, so there is no priority admission from any feeder primary school. All applicants are assessed on the same basis.
The school participates in the Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec) exercise, accepting applications in Tchoukball, Choir, Concert Band, Modern Dance, and English Drama. DSA trials and auditions typically take place between May and August; details and requirements are published on the school's website each year. Applications are submitted through the MOE DSA-Sec portal.
Under Full Subject-Based Banding (FSBB), admitted students can take individual subjects at G1, G2, or G3 levels according to their strengths, rather than being placed in a fixed stream.
Bedok Green offers the O-Level track and prepares students for the GCE O-Level examinations. There is no Integrated Programme (IP) pathway at this school.
The academic programme at Bedok Green is structured around preparation for the GCE O-Level examinations. Core subjects include English Language, Elementary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, and the Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Humanities options cover Social Studies, Geography, History, and Literature. Students can also choose from electives such as Nutrition and Food Science, Principles of Accounts, Design and Technology, and Exercise and Sports Science.
The STEM-focused ALP gives students practical experience in aeronautical engineering and design thinking, connecting classroom learning to real-world applications in transportation and technology. The PAssion Programme complements academics by integrating performing arts into character and leadership development.
The school provides targeted support for students with different learning needs, including dedicated Special Educational Needs Officers who offer individualised guidance. This inclusive approach helps ensure that students across ability levels receive appropriate academic support.
For students looking for additional help with Mathematics — whether bridging gaps from primary school or preparing for O-Level content — DeepThink, a specialist math tuition centre, offers structured programmes that align with the MOE syllabus and can complement what students learn in school.
Bedok Green's campus includes facilities designed to support both academic and co-curricular pursuits. Classrooms are fitted with interactive technology, and the school maintains science laboratories and computer labs for practical work. Sports facilities include fields and courts used for activities such as badminton, basketball, and tchoukball. Dedicated arts spaces support the performing arts CCAs, and the school library serves as a resource hub for independent learning.
Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) span four categories:
Sports: Badminton, Basketball, Football (Boys), Softball, Wushu, Tchoukball, Outdoor Adventure
Performing Arts: Choir, Concert Band, Modern Dance, English Drama
Clubs and Societies: Art and Crafts, Audio Visual Aid, Singapore Youth Flying Club, Environmental Science
Uniformed Groups: National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC), St John Brigade, National Cadet Corps (NCC) (Land, Boys)
Several CCAs connect directly to the school's signature programmes. The Singapore Youth Flying Club, for instance, aligns with the ALP's aeronautical engineering focus, while performing arts CCAs support the PAssion Programme. Many of these CCAs also correspond to DSA talent areas.
School culture at Bedok Green is shaped by values of respect, resilience, and responsibility. The school maintains reasonable class sizes and places emphasis on pastoral care, with form teachers, counselling services, and peer mentoring programmes supporting students as they adjust to secondary school life. Anti-bullying measures and well-being workshops are part of the broader student support framework.
Daily life balances classroom learning with CCA commitments, encouraging students to develop time management and self-discipline. Orientation programmes help Secondary 1 students settle in, including familiarisation with subject-based banding and the CCA selection process.
The school is located at 360 Bedok North Avenue 3, Singapore 469722, and can be reached at 6446 3301 or [email protected].
