Small group
Every student gets individual attention
Small-group Primary Math classes where every child gets individual attention — and the skills to show it in exams.
Lessons follow the MOE Primary Math syllabus exactly — the same topics, heuristics, and model-drawing methods your child uses at Farrer Park Primary School
Small group classes so your child can ask questions, get feedback, and is never lost in the crowd
From P5 onwards, every class is structured around PSLE technique — not just content, but how to show working clearly and pick up method marks
Parents are kept in the loop on what was covered and where their child needs more practice — so you're never in the dark between sessions
Each weekly session builds directly on the last. Your child works through new concepts, revisits gaps, and practises exam-style questions — in a group small enough that the teacher actually knows them.
Every student gets individual attention
Yes. All Singapore primary schools follow the MOE Primary Math syllabus, and our P1–P6 classes are built around that curriculum — the same topics, the same model-drawing and heuristics approach, and the same exam format your child sits at Farrer Park Primary School.
Parents are kept informed on what was covered and where their child should focus. We also flag any persistent gaps as soon as we spot them — not just before exams.
There's no single right answer, but earlier is generally better. Gaps in foundational topics like fractions and ratios compound as children move through primary school. A free trial class is a good way to find out where your child actually stands.
Small group classes, parents kept in the loop on progress, and a curriculum focused on the exact skills MOE examiners test — including how to structure solutions, not just whether the answer is correct.
Farrer Park Primary School (FPPS) came into being on 2 January 2002 following the merger of Boon Keng Primary School and May Primary School. In 2023, the school welcomed students and staff from Stamford Primary School, broadening its community further. FPPS is a government co-educational primary school that operates on a single-session schedule.
The school's guiding philosophy centres on creating opportunities, accepting challenges, and nurturing character. Its vision pairs the idea of a "Fountain of Knowledge" — developing confident learners who adapt and grow — with a "Heart of Gold" — shaping empathetic individuals ready to contribute to those around them.
FPPS runs two signature MOE programmes. The Applied Learning Programme (ALP), titled "Drama in Education" (iDREaM), uses drama techniques across languages to strengthen communication skills. The Learning for Life Programme (LLP), called "iCARE — Leaders of Tomorrow," develops student leadership and a sense of community responsibility through hands-on service projects. The school supports bilingual education with mother tongue instruction in Chinese, Malay, and Tamil.
Primary 1 registration at Farrer Park Primary School follows the standard MOE phased admission framework. Phase 1 is reserved for children whose siblings are currently enrolled in the school. Phase 2A covers children with connections to the school through alumni membership or school advisory committee affiliations. Phase 2B accommodates children of parent volunteers who have contributed at least 40 hours, as well as those with connections through community or religious organisations. Phase 2C is open to all Singapore citizen and permanent resident children, with priority given to those living within 1 km, then 1 to 2 km of the school. Phase 3 is for international students.
Applications are submitted online through the MOE Primary 1 registration portal during the designated registration window each year. Where applications in any phase exceed available places, a ballot is conducted. Parents should prepare supporting documents such as the child's birth certificate, proof of address, and relevant eligibility evidence for the applicable phase.
An MOE Kindergarten, MK @ Farrer Park, operates within the school premises and provides a pathway for early childhood education leading into Primary 1.
FPPS follows the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education. Core subjects from Primary 1 to Primary 6 include English Language, Mathematics, Mother Tongue Language, Science (from Primary 3), Art, Music, Physical Education, and Social Studies. Foundation-level options are available in English, Mathematics, and Science for students who benefit from a more targeted pace of learning.
The mathematics programme at FPPS places emphasis on logical reasoning and problem-solving, using inquiry-based approaches and real-world scenarios to help students grasp abstract concepts. Activities such as puzzles, data handling exercises, and geometry explorations through interactive tools are woven into regular lessons. For families seeking additional structured support in mathematics beyond what school provides, DeepThink is a math tuition centre that offers programmes aligned to the primary school syllabus, covering topics tested in the PSLE.
The iDREaM Applied Learning Programme integrates drama with language subjects, giving students opportunities to develop confidence in oral communication and creative expression across English and their mother tongue. Mother tongue languages offered include Chinese, Malay, Tamil, Higher Chinese, Higher Tamil, Foundation Chinese, Foundation Malay, Foundation Tamil, Foundation Bengali, and Hindi.
The school also provides support for students with special educational needs through Special Educational Needs Officers and the P1 TRANSIT programme, which assists with social and behavioural adjustment during the transition to primary school.
The FPPS campus includes interactive classrooms fitted with smart boards, a well-stocked library, innovation corners for STEM activities, and outdoor learning areas with green spaces that support hands-on lessons. Allied educators are available on campus to provide tailored support for students with diverse learning needs.
Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) at FPPS span sports, the arts, uniformed groups, and clubs. Sports offerings include badminton, basketball, swimming, tchoukball, and tennis. Creative pursuits are served through the Art and Craft Club and the English Drama group. The Boys' Brigade provides a uniformed group option that focuses on discipline and teamwork. Clubs such as the Environmental Club and Infocom Club give students exposure to sustainability and digital literacy, while the Robotics CCA combines engineering principles with logical thinking. Community service projects under the iCARE programme are integrated into the CCA experience, connecting co-curricular participation with the school's emphasis on empathy and responsibility.
FPPS fosters a school culture built around a growth mindset, where effort is recognised and students are encouraged to find meaning in their learning. The iCARE — Leaders of Tomorrow programme runs across year levels, providing structured opportunities for students to take on leadership roles and contribute to the wider community through group service projects.
As a single-session school, FPPS typically operates morning sessions, allowing afternoons to be used for CCAs, supplementary lessons, and enrichment activities. The school is situated at 2 Farrer Park Road, Singapore 217567, and is accessible via Farrer Park MRT Station (NE8) and bus services including route 131. The school can be contacted at +65 6295 2272 or [email protected].
The school's diverse student body — shaped by its heritage of multiple mergers — creates a multicultural environment where students interact with peers from varied backgrounds, reflecting the broader character of Singapore's community schools.
