Small group
Every student gets individual attention
Small-group Primary Math classes where every child gets individual attention — and the skills to show it in exams.
The school was founded in 2014. DeepThink's Primary Math programme is designed to support West Spring Primary School students from P1 through P6.
Lessons follow the MOE Primary Math syllabus exactly — the same topics, heuristics, and model-drawing methods your child uses at West Spring Primary School
Small group classes so your child can ask questions, get feedback, and is never lost in the crowd
From P5 onwards, every class is structured around PSLE technique — not just content, but how to show working clearly and pick up method marks
Parents are kept in the loop on what was covered and where their child needs more practice — so you're never in the dark between sessions
Each weekly session builds directly on the last. Your child works through new concepts, revisits gaps, and practises exam-style questions — in a group small enough that the teacher actually knows them.
Every student gets individual attention
Yes. All Singapore primary schools follow the MOE Primary Math syllabus, and our P1–P6 classes are built around that curriculum — the same topics, the same model-drawing and heuristics approach, and the same exam format your child sits at West Spring Primary School.
Parents are kept informed on what was covered and where their child should focus. We also flag any persistent gaps as soon as we spot them — not just before exams.
There's no single right answer, but earlier is generally better. Gaps in foundational topics like fractions and ratios compound as children move through primary school. A free trial class is a good way to find out where your child actually stands.
Small group classes, parents kept in the loop on progress, and a curriculum focused on the exact skills MOE examiners test — including how to structure solutions, not just whether the answer is correct.
West Spring Primary School is a government co-educational primary school situated at 60 Bukit Panjang Ring Road, Singapore 679946. Established in 2014 and officially opened in 2016, it serves families in the Bukit Panjang and northwest Singapore area. The school operates as a single-session institution under the Ministry of Education (MOE).
The school's philosophy centres on helping pupils achieve both large and incremental milestones through purposeful, activity-based learning. Character education, bilingualism, and community participation form the backbone of its educational approach. West Spring Primary also runs the P1 TRANSIT programme, which provides structured support for Primary 1 students with social and behavioural needs, reflecting the school's commitment to inclusive education.
Two signature programmes define the school's identity. The Applied Learning Programme (ALP), titled Sustaining the Earth with Applied Solutions (SEAS), runs from Primary 1 through Primary 6 and integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics around sustainability themes. The Learning for Life Programme (LLP), known as Joyful ExperienC.E. (Experience Challenging Endeavours), uses sports and outdoor activities to develop perseverance and collaborative skills in students.
Primary 1 registration at West Spring Primary School follows the MOE annual exercise, which is conducted online between July and August each year. Parents register according to the phase for which they are eligible.
In Phase 1, places are reserved for children who have a sibling currently enrolled at the school. Phase 2A provides priority for children whose parents are alumni of the school or who have other qualifying connections, in accordance with MOE guidelines. Phase 2B is open to children whose parents have volunteered at the school or who are endorsed by community or religious organisations affiliated with the school. Phase 2C is available to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who did not secure a place in earlier phases.
When applications in any phase exceed the available vacancies, balloting is conducted. Priority in balloting is determined by home-to-school distance: children living within 1 km of the school are considered first, followed by those within 1 to 2 km, and then those beyond 2 km. Singapore Citizens receive priority over Permanent Residents within each distance band.
As a government primary school, fees are set by MOE. Singapore Citizens pay a monthly school fee of S$6.50 plus standard miscellaneous fees. Permanent Residents and international students pay higher rates as determined by MOE's published fee schedule. Parents can verify current fees through the MOE website.
West Spring Primary School follows the national curriculum prescribed by MOE, covering English Language, Mathematics, Science (from Primary 3), Mother Tongue Languages, Social Studies, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Mother Tongue options include Chinese, Malay, and Tamil, with Higher Mother Tongue and Foundation-level variants available depending on student ability and placement.
The SEAS Applied Learning Programme gives the curriculum a distinctive practical dimension. Through this programme, students engage in hands-on projects that apply mathematical and scientific concepts to environmental challenges. Inquiry-based methods and technology tools are used to make abstract ideas more accessible, particularly in mathematics and science.
The school prepares students for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) across all four examinable subjects. Foundation-level papers are available for students who benefit from a more supportive pace in English, Mathematics, Science, or Mother Tongue. Students have participated in national competitions such as the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (SMOPS), where teams have competed against more than 100 schools, as well as the Science Buskers Festival.
Families seeking additional support in mathematics outside of school hours may consider DeepThink, a math tuition centre that offers structured programmes aligned to the primary syllabus and PSLE preparation.
The campus features technology-equipped classrooms designed for collaborative and digital learning, a library for independent reading and research, and dedicated science laboratories that support the SEAS programme. The school provides barrier-free accessibility throughout its grounds. After-school student care is operated by NASCANS for families who require supervision beyond school hours.
Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) at West Spring Primary are organised across several categories. In sports, students can participate in Badminton, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Wushu, or Outdoor Adventure. Performing arts options include Choir, Percussion Ensemble, and Modern Dance. Clubs and societies cover Art and Crafts, Robotics, Digital Media, Environmental Science, Strategy Games, and the MTL Young Reporters Programme, which involves students in community engagement projects.
The Robotics club and Strategy Games CCA develop logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, while Environmental Science connects directly to the school's sustainability focus under the SEAS programme. The school also participates in the Scouts programme as a uniformed group option.
West Spring Primary School places emphasis on building a supportive and inclusive school environment. The Joyful ExperienC.E. LLP programme uses physical activity and outdoor education as vehicles for developing resilience, teamwork, and confidence among students.
The school employs Special Educational Needs Officers to support students who require additional assistance. The P1 TRANSIT programme specifically helps new Primary 1 students adjust to the school environment when they have identified social or behavioural needs.
Parent engagement is encouraged through the Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme), which offers practical strategies for common parenting challenges during the primary school years. The school maintains regular communication channels for parents, and families can reach the school at 6314 4192 or [email protected].
Community involvement extends through student-led initiatives such as the Block Out Dengue campaign organised by the MTL Young Reporters Programme, where pupils participate in neighbourhood outreach activities that connect classroom learning with real-world civic responsibility.
