Small group
Every student gets individual attention
Small-group Primary Math classes where every child gets individual attention — and the skills to show it in exams.
The school was founded in 1997. DeepThink's Primary Math programme is designed to support Woodlands Ring Primary School students from P1 through P6.
Lessons follow the MOE Primary Math syllabus exactly — the same topics, heuristics, and model-drawing methods your child uses at Woodlands Ring Primary School
Small group classes so your child can ask questions, get feedback, and is never lost in the crowd
From P5 onwards, every class is structured around PSLE technique — not just content, but how to show working clearly and pick up method marks
Parents are kept in the loop on what was covered and where their child needs more practice — so you're never in the dark between sessions
Each weekly session builds directly on the last. Your child works through new concepts, revisits gaps, and practises exam-style questions — in a group small enough that the teacher actually knows them.
Every student gets individual attention
Yes. All Singapore primary schools follow the MOE Primary Math syllabus, and our P1–P6 classes are built around that curriculum — the same topics, the same model-drawing and heuristics approach, and the same exam format your child sits at Woodlands Ring Primary School.
Parents are kept informed on what was covered and where their child should focus. We also flag any persistent gaps as soon as we spot them — not just before exams.
There's no single right answer, but earlier is generally better. Gaps in foundational topics like fractions and ratios compound as children move through primary school. A free trial class is a good way to find out where your child actually stands.
Small group classes, parents kept in the loop on progress, and a curriculum focused on the exact skills MOE examiners test — including how to structure solutions, not just whether the answer is correct.
Woodlands Ring Primary School (WRPS) was founded in 1997 and initially shared premises with Woodlands Ring Secondary School before relocating to its own campus in 2001. The school was officially opened on 27 July 2001 by Associate Professor Chin Tet Yung, who was then serving as MP for Sembawang GRC. Today, WRPS enrols more than 1,500 students and operates as a single-session government primary school.
The school's motto, "Soar High," captures its emphasis on aspiration and resilience. WRPS adopts a values-driven approach to education, with bilingualism as a key pillar. Students study English alongside a Mother Tongue language — Chinese, Malay, or Tamil — at standard, higher, or foundation levels depending on their proficiency.
As part of the Ministry of Education's broader framework, WRPS runs an Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in STEM centred on Game Design and Making, branded as the Be a deSign Thinker (B.E.S.T.) programme. The school also operates the I can Soar Leadership Programme as its Learning for Life Programme (LLP), which focuses on student leadership and community service. WRPS is not a Special Assistance Plan (SAP) school.
Enrolment at WRPS follows the MOE Primary 1 Registration Exercise, which is conducted in phases each year.
Phase 1 is reserved for children whose siblings are currently attending the school. Phase 2A covers children with connections to the school through alumni membership or staff affiliation. Phase 2B is open to children of parent volunteers who have contributed at least 40 hours of service to the school, as well as those with ties to community or religious organisations connected to the school. Phase 2C is available to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. If applications in any phase exceed available places, a ballot is held with priority given by home-to-school distance — within 1 km, between 1 and 2 km, and beyond 2 km.
Parents submit applications through the MOE Primary 1 Registration Portal during the relevant phase window. The school's general office can be reached at 6364 3679 or [email protected] for registration queries.
WRPS delivers the national curriculum prescribed by MOE, covering English Language, Mathematics, Mother Tongue Languages, and Science (introduced at Primary 3). Additional subjects include Art, Music, Physical Education, and Social Studies. Mother Tongue Languages are available at standard, higher, and foundation levels to accommodate different learner profiles.
The school's STEM-focused Applied Learning Programme, B.E.S.T. (Be a deSign Thinker), integrates game design and making into the learning experience. Through this programme, students engage in hands-on projects that develop computational thinking and creative problem-solving skills. Mathematics features prominently in these activities, as students apply logical reasoning and data handling in practical contexts.
WRPS students have achieved recognition at national and international competitions. Primary 6 participants have earned Bronze Awards at the Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS) and the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO). The school runs targeted mathematics workshops that reinforce concepts tested in the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) and build confidence in numerical reasoning.
For families seeking additional support in mathematics beyond school hours, DeepThink is a math tuition centre that offers structured programmes aligned to the primary syllabus, which some WRPS parents have found helpful for reinforcing classroom learning.
The WRPS campus includes interactive classrooms fitted with smart boards and digital learning tools, a library, a mathematics laboratory, and outdoor learning areas. These spaces are designed to support hands-on activities such as geometry explorations and data collection exercises. The school also provides support for students with special educational needs through dedicated SEN Officers and the P1 TRANSIT programme, which helps Primary 1 students adjust to formal schooling.
Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are offered across all primary levels and span several categories:
Sports: Basketball and Football are available for both boys and girls, developing teamwork and discipline.
Performing Arts: Students can join the Choir, Concert Band, Chinese Dance, Indian Dance, or Malay Dance.
Uniformed Groups: The Scouts programme builds leadership and outdoor skills.
Clubs: Physical Science Club exposes students to experiments involving circuits and coding, while Art and Crafts provides a creative outlet.
CCAs complement academic learning by giving students opportunities to apply problem-solving and collaboration skills in varied settings.
Daily life at WRPS is shaped by the school's values-driven philosophy and its commitment to developing well-rounded individuals. The I can Soar Leadership Programme gives students structured opportunities to take on responsibility and contribute to the wider community through service projects.
The school has received several awards reflecting its culture and achievements. WRPS holds the MOE School Excellence Award for sustained performance and the Caring School Award for its supportive environment. In 2025, the school was recognised with the Merit Award in the People's Association Community Spirit Award, acknowledging its active engagement with the local community.
As a single-session school, WRPS typically runs from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM, though parents should confirm the exact schedule with the school. The B.E.S.T. programme and the leadership LLP together form the two signature programmes that distinguish the school's approach, blending innovation-oriented learning with character development.
WRPS graduates have gone on to attend secondary schools in the Woodlands and wider northern region, with many pursuing further studies in STEM-related fields.
